Te Anau-Queenstown-Wanaka (Day 5)

When we arrived the first day in Te Anau, it was already dark. The next day, we left Te Anau for Milford Sound very early in the morning and came back in the evening. It was a hectic day that I did not realise how beautiful Te Anau was. Actually beautiful is an understatement. Te Anau is really spectacular in autumn. Colourful trees painted the entire surrounding and it looked more like a painting than a real life.

Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park

The next morning, before leaving for Queenstown...Treat yourself to some pictures around the holiday park and Te Anau town.

This is a common sight in Te Anau. You can book a flight for a scenic flight to enjoy Te Anau from bird's eye view.

Queenstown

We arrived at Queenstown at lunch. Queenstown’s beauty is beyond words. I must say that it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city is located by the seaside creating stunning and tranquil ambience. I would say that New Zealand is one of God’s most beautiful gifts to humankind and Queenstown is like an icing on a beautiful cake.

We had fish and chips for lunch and stayed in Queenstown until sunset as we only had half a day here. I wish we could stay longer. From Queenstown we drove back to Wanaka.
