Melbourne, Australia (Day 2)

I was woken up by my dear husband for Fajr prayer and to prepare ourself for the next trip. We needed to leave early this morning so as to maximise our time. After a simple breakfast- maggi that we brought from Malaysia we packed our things and checked out from the motel.

Port Campbell is a very small and quite town.

I would say that it is a tourist town- full with budget hotels and motels. It is facinating to see this town with small bars and restaurants and people coming for a swim or surf as early as 7 in the morning. Most restaurants serve seafood and ice cream and if you would like to taste Melbourne's famous Timboon ice cream, you could get it from one of the restaurants there. However, the restaurants would not be opened at least after 10 am. So we did not get the chance to experience eating the many seafood offerings and Timboon ice cream.

Some pictures of Port Campbell for you guys....

People said this ice cream is really nice. Find out if it is really tasty after I tasted it later...

Port Campbell is situated by the seaside...just walking distance from the motels.

Hardcore surfers he he....it was really chill yet they were here as early as 7 am..

Today we are heading to Melbourne city but we would stop at a few stops along the way and ultimately Essendon Factory Outlet to do some kitchenware shopping. I have to say that this is one of the highlight of this trip :). We were lucky that they were having sale. I managed to get Corell kitchen ware that I wanted :) :) :)

Sorry guys we did not take any pictures as we were busy shopping. The FO was closing in like in less than an hour time when we reached there! Next time, I will go early.

On our way to Melbourne, we made a few pitstops....treat yourselves for some pictures...

Before we reached Timboon...at the back there were rolls of dried grass. Mummy was so happy to have this picture taken but baby was already tired :).

At Timboon...it was not easy to find this place. Even with the help of Garmin and local folks we missed this place but my heart told me that the place that we passed by previously was the place. It was so overly stated that we thought it was a big ice cream factory...It looked like a humble ice cream shop in a sleepy town...or was it because it was Saturday and everyone was still sleepy?

Inside Timboon ice cream shop. We were there before the shop opened ha ha! The shop sells more than ice cream...So, is the ice cream good? To be fair to the ice cream, it is a matter of personal taste but to me it is a bit overstated. I did not find the ice cream as good as gelato in Rome or Kapiti and New Zealand Ice Cream in New Zealand.

Apple Orchard- this orchard grows 2 types of apples : Red Delicious and Golden Delicious. Both are crunchy and sweet, as the names suggest.

We thought if was easy to pluck our own apples but seriously it is an expert job if you want to pluck the right apples. Too many apples on the trees, we actually have no idea which one we should pluck so in the end we decided to purchase the apples instead!!

At Sovereign Hill

Sovereign Hill Sovenir Shop...

Hotel Airport Tourist Village, Melbourne, AUD109 per night. A studio apartment with kitchentte, fridge and microwave. It is close to Essendon FO.

Dinner....look at the fries...we ordered "large-size" fries and did not expect to have this...Too much for us..
